Wow, I can’t get over how perfect this is and how fantastic Chris Ware is at writing from a female perspective and how he seems to have summed up in 6 panels something I haven’t been able to explain in hours of useless stammering.
Featuring the “femme fatales of cartography,” A Map of the World: The World According to Illustrators and Storytellers has the (map) key to my heart.

One side features an illustration based on Hazel, the other, Augustus. The design reflects the brilliant way in which John conveys the real effects of cancer. I think this is best summed up in his words:
